Upload via web browser, FTP, or by email.

If you have a large collection of stock photos it is likely that you will want to use FTP (File Transfer Protocol) to upload them.

What is FTP?

FTP is older than the web and goes back to the early days of networked computing. It was invented by men with beards and sandals and most likely all this occurred some time before you were born. 1971 or thereabouts. If that isn't before you were born then you probably know all this already.

FTP is still widely used because it is so robust and accessible. It goes across platforms and is generally considered to be quite secure and in most respects bomb-proof. You can download utilities to upload and download files using FTP for all popular platforms including Windows, Mac, and Linux / UNIX as well as FTP apps available for iPod, iPad and other devices.

If you are new to FTP you could try FileZilla which is an open source, free, flexible yet fully-featured FTP "client" package which will enable you to upload to any FTP server including your Upixa account. FileZilla is a cross-platform graphical FTP, FTPS and SFTP client with a lot of features, supporting Windows, Linux, Mac OS X and more.
